Medium: Animated GIF
Userland presents new GIF artworks by Perfectl00p, an ode to the artist’s practice rooted in retro computer aesthetics and the hypnosis of digital existence. Through the animated GIF and its endlessly repeating structure, the works create a visual world shaped by software, systems and repetition.
Featuring unique works as well as editions, Userland brings together images that exist within the logic of the loop: sequences that repeat continuously, turning repetition itself into a fundamental element of the experience.
Retro computer aesthetics and the hypnosis of digital existence run throughout the works, while absurdity, beauty and humour coexist within images generated by a world increasingly shaped by software and systems.
Userland invites viewers to contemplate this digital landscape through its continuous cycles of images and repetition: an endless loop of the digital sublime.
