Somewhere, affection has forgotten the rules.
Across three films, you enter a world where unlikely companions have grown accustomed to one another. Their relationships emerge through small exchanges rather than explicit explanations: a gaze lingers, a space is held open, silence carries the weight of a promise you did not hear.
As you follow these gestures, the distance between their world and your own begins to shift. What initially appears unfamiliar gradually becomes less alien, while your own place within it becomes increasingly uncertain. The relationships are already there when you arrive; their histories remain unspoken, revealed only through gestures, proximity and silence.
You have arrived too late for introductions and too soon for an answer. The films leave you within this uncertainty, observing relationships whose rules and boundaries are never fully explained.
By the end, you may not know whether you were welcomed or merely witnessed.

Author
- Ghassan Naji, known as g0naji, is a Canadian artist working with AI-generated still and moving images. His practice explores the possibility of finding the impossible within familiar places, creating images and situations that appear recognizable at first glance while remaining difficult to fully explain.
His work often focuses on quietly observed moments, where familiar environments, figures and relationships acquire an unexpected or ambiguous quality. Rather than constructing explicit narratives, he creates situations that leave space for uncertainty and interpretation.
