Anura is a real-time reactive particle installation inspired by the flowing mountain terrains of the Scottish countryside. The work translates the contours, rhythms and continuous transformations of the landscape into a digital environment composed of particles in constant motion.
Rather than reproducing a specific place, Anura draws from the experience of mountainous terrain: its slopes, valleys, shifting perspectives and sense of continuous movement. Particles gather, disperse and reorganise, forming fluid structures that evoke landscapes while remaining in a state of perpetual transformation.
Generated in real time, the work never exists simply as a fixed sequence of images. Its visual system remains active and responsive, allowing formations to emerge and dissolve continuously and giving the environment an organic, evolving quality.
A majestic ambient score accompanies the visual landscape, establishing a dialogue between sound and the movement of the particles. Image and music combine to create a contemplative environment in which the technological system evokes the scale, atmosphere and fluidity of the natural world.
Through this encounter between computational processes and the Scottish landscape, Anura transforms the observation of nature into an evolving digital experience, suspended between abstraction and the memory of a physical place.

- Konx-om-Pax (born Tom Scholefield) is a Scottish electronic musician and graphical artist from Glasgow.
For Tom Scholefield, the language of design and music production cross over.
As a producer, he’s released two LPs on Planet Mu, the first of which was a resolutely melancholy and grainy take on pastoral IDM, shaped by living alone in Glasgow. The result of a move to Berlin and subsequent embrace of more rave tinged signatures, his later releases (Caramel and Refesher) present a fresh take...
